JHC Sponsors Campaign for Dementia Care Centre

JHC Laundry has supported an MHA Care Group campaign, helping to raise nearly £1000 for a new dementia day care centre in Leeds.

Rev Dr Keith Albans, who is the senior chaplain at MHA Care Group, and his son Tom, walked 84 miles along Hadrian's Wall last month to raise money for the Moor Allerton Day Care Centre, which is being built to support those living at home with dementia, as well as those who care for them. The walk was sponsored by JHC Laundry who supply and maintain laundry equipment for the Group.

The Rev Albans said: "Dementia is a difficult disease to live with, not only for those living with it, but also for their close friends and family.  At MHA we are renowned for our person centred approach to caring for those with dementia, and are determined to offer help and support for as many older people and their families as possible."

Peter Marsh, chief executive of JHC Laundry Equipment Ltd, said: "We are delighted to be supporting MHA Care Group in their campaign to raise money for this very important cause.  Having worked with MHA for the last 14 years, we are well aware of the excellent services they provide for elderly people, in particular those living with dementia.  It is a privilege to support Rev Keith Albans and we look forward to seeing this worthy project become a reality."
