Sunbury Nursing Homes Saves £1,000 a Month With O-Clean

Sunbury Nursing Homes have reported saving in excess of £1,000 a month since adapting their existing five washer extractors to JHC's O-Clean ozone system

The savings, which equate to around £15,000 a year, are due to the fact that O-Clean uses less water, electricity, gas and detergents than traditional systems. Wash cycles in the laundry room at Sunbury Nursing Homes have reduced by half an hour and virtually every load can be done on the same programme, without the need for pre-washes and boil washes. This is also kinder to the environment.

Chris White, director of Sunbury Nursing Homes confirms, "We have been very impressed with the new system and the efficiencies it has made for us."

Staff who work in the laundry room have reported cooler, more pleasant working environments and improved quality of finished laundry, even without the use of conditioners.

O-Clean is a high-efficiency, patented system from JHC which uses ozone technology, proven in the US for over 15 years, to clean laundry and kill bacteria. It works effectively with cold-water washes and can even kill "superbugs" such as MRSA.

Available to rent or buy, O-clean systems are configurable to operate with laundry machines from 7kg to 69kg. Installation is easy and the ozone output can be adjusted to the machine's requirements. O-Clean systems are usually supplied with JHC washer extractors but can often be fitted to existing equipment.
